Introducing V-Force Vibration Therapy!
One of the recent additions to our office has been the V-Force Vibration Therapy unit. Vibration therapy has been shown to improve muscle strength, postural stability, balance just to name a few uses. The concept is fairly simple…Imagine you are walking and you slip on a sheet of ice. Immediately your body will involuntarily contract most muscles in preparation for a possible hard landing! Vibration therapy uses this exact concept to help build muscle. The machine will simulate a “fall” anywhere from 30 to 60 times per second! Therefore, while you are standing on the vibration pad and doing other exercises (lets say squats) your body is getting an involuntary workout without even realizing it! Using the V-Force you can recruit up to 80% more muscle fibers than if you were doing the same exercise on the ground. You can imagine the benefit this has in a rehabilitation setting.
